It Is So Involved Being Me!

I grew up in the tourism industry and began at a young age to work in my family's small lodge in the East Kootenay's of British Columbia. Even then, I enjoyed the variety of people that came through our doors and brought us knowledge about where they came from and what they thought. I found I had a knack for making people comfortable. I like the coming and going of travelers. I like to hear what they have seen and where they are planning to go next. I like the bustle of luggage.

When I was in my early twenties, I found I had a very keen interest in the natural world and what it had to offer in the way of centering my life and I often sought out the wilder places to live and work. To me living close to nature is as important as breathing. I have worked as a naturalist and love to introduce the natural world to those who are unfortunate enough not to live and experience the world that I live in. I endeavour to share what I have to those who are willing to meet the challenge.

I have had the pleasure of being able to live, work and raise my children here in the Bella Coola Valley. I don't think there is any place on earth more wondrous than here. I call it a green and holy place. Now that the children have grown and gone to seek their own fortunes I can share my place with guests from around the globe.

You will find my home comfortable and roomy. You are free to make yourself a part of the household during your stay. My property has a diverse mix of woodlands, streams, rivers and wet lands, as a result there are more species of flora and fauna than anywhere else in the Bella Coola valley. It is a rare ecosystem with many things to see and experience.

Your comfort is very important to me. Spoiling you may not be out of the question. Look forward to seeing you when you arrive.
